Title: Replace the hard drive on a BR1600
Post by: jbonifacejr on May 11, 2012, 03:48:12 PM
Can anyone tell me the steps to replacing the hard drive on a BR1600. I understand there are some OS files on the drive. If I follow the initialization steps here...

does that completely initialize the drive, or just erase the data?

The initialization procdeure is described in detail on pages 270 and 271 of the BR-1600 Owner's Manual Rev A which you can download here:

http://www.roland.com/support/article/index.cfm?q=manuals&p=BR-1600CD (http://www.roland.com/support/article/index.cfm?q=manuals&p=BR-1600CD)

It formats the drive and creates the necessary folders and files.
