My old band from high school got back together 30 years after high school, and 24 years since the last time we all performed together. We performed five original songs, which is why I'm posting this here. All of the songs are pretty old -- and some of them are among the first songs I ever wrote.
We played in the living room of the home of an old friend. There were maybe 30 people at the party.
There were at least three amateur videographers at the event, and the videos are beginning to trickle in. I'll keep adding them to this thread as they arrive.
Yaaay!!! Haven't watched them all but jumped straight to Dechromium Cob and loved it! You are pretty damn good, love the guitar playing, everyone's come a long way since those very early days. That's you on bass, right?
Only disappointment is that your mad daughter was not doing backing vox on Cob! Wished I could have been there to see it all live, I hope the audience liked it.
Cheers,
Nigel
Arghh. My internet is dead slow for YT today. Just to say we should make a "highschoolfest" with those great songs we did in our obscure pasts and were never recorded decently! Fine if we do it alone, bonus of kudos if we reunite the bands!
ahhhhhrg ,,...... can't wait to get home and be able to watch this !!!
I'll be back

I looked at my stepdaughter during "Cob." She knew I wanted her to join in and sing along. She hid behind her mother.
Yes, that's me on bass.
Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves and the music -- but what else are they going to say?
You guys sucked! The entire performance was filmed by one of the videographers -- both sets. We also recorded it with a couple of good stereo mics. So maybe there will be a more pro version of these videos with better sound eventually.
I think a highschoolfest is an interesting idea, but I already have a leg up.
up to my eyes in it just know but will be watching all vids when i get a break, got a sneak preview of dechromium cob luvved it looking forward to hearing and seeing the others.
I watched at least part of all of all the videos. Spaz was by far the most listenable and camera friendly video.
This must have been a blast to do.
My fave is "Cards" and as a close second "Dumb Animal".
Very cool, great job guys!
If you're a glutton for Nutrients, or just want better audio quality, this is a full video of our matinee and late show sets.

If you go to the YouTube descriptions, you can click on the timestamps and bypass all of the boring chatter.
really cool to see this. Thanks for sharing this Ted.
Loving the slightly better video. Pity you can't hear the bass enough, looks like some cool stuff going on there. And I can even learn how to play Nutrients tunes on the keyboards now, courtesy of the tutorial vids! Love the note reminders on the keys.
Cheers,
Nigel

:)
Our keyboardist, Yoz, is even less of a keyboardist than I am. The Nutrients is more of an exclusive club, where great, or even good musicianship is
not one of the requirements.
Video tutorials are how we pulled off this reunion. We are spread out across 260 miles of Arizona. Imagine a bass player in London, a keyboardist and vocalist in Sunderland, and a guitarist and drummer in Sheffield.
When I get the mixes of these performances, I suspect the bass will be stronger. The guy who recorded us is also a bassist.
The note reminder stickers on the keyboard are for my stepkids. I don't need them. Really, I don't.

for some reason that's not too hard to imagine ;)
