Oh yeah, thats perfect man, really good cover.  Your vocal is really great.  I love everything about this.  I am going to download all these U2 covers into a CD for the car.  I have a feeling it will be played a lot.  You hit it out of the park here Pete.

Recorded on a BR 600. Used my 1983 Japanese Squier SQ series Stratocaster for all the guitar parts. The main guitar was recorded through the Vox AC 30 patch of my Peavey Transformer 212 amp with the delays provided by an old Zoom 3030 (you need 2 delays to get that Edge sound). The other guitar patches were from the BR600.  The bass is my Squier Affinity through the BR600 studio patch and vocals through a mike with another BR600 patch.  Drums are from the BR600 and the whole lot was mastered through the Rockband setting'

Haven't heard the original, and now I won't need to. This is obviously a labour-of-love, and a first-class offering as an upload. A very rewarding listen. Well done all round.  8)

Pete, this kicks ass! Very well done.

I would like to hear a remix with the vocal a bit more prominent in the mix.

Here's a re-mix for you Gene - upped the vocals a bit, played with the EQ, and bounced the vocal onto a 2nd track with a bit of delay added. Anything higher sounded a bit harsh to me. See what you think?

(Deleted mp3 attachment to save on server memory - prefer original mix)

This tune is a mover and a shaker. High energy vocal and instruments.

I like it.

Well done!
