It's been storming and pissing down all day so I put this down.

WOW Glenn !!
Your productions are so pro sounding, and for every post your voice seem to just getting better and better.
The bass is fabulous as is the guitarwork. Fab "piano" as well.
WOW !

Great cover Glenn. Soulfull vocals and you certainly have got the skill of playing piano on a guitar synth - which is not easy.
Brilliant.
Paul
Oh yes. I always liked the Janis Joplin version of this. You have a sublime little funky groove going down all the way through. It's all very soulful, and a real peach of an arrangement. And you sing this SO well! But that bass... WOW!
A killer cover.
Hey thanks so much guys!
It was mainly to do a fun project.
Thanks too, for the bass "notes".
I have a basic fender P Bass I found on Craig's list, and have had fun learning.
I used my pedals (compression/sustain, EQ and DDly) then thru the "60's R&B bass" (P67)
Then some EQ.
I can't say enough about the BR800 FX.
Love the way the rhythmic elements are all jumpin' around on this. And the 'band' is locked in and playing so tight. Great playing and a very hi-fidelity production!
Thanks Ken. I do love poly-rhythmic stuff and so I do have to watch that it doesn't get messy.
I'm trying to learn the KISS approach to recording but it's harder than you would think with all those wonderful options.
Solid groove and a totally styling mix! Your soulful vocals make this such a treat.
Nice work, Glenn. Smooth as silk rhythm and melody well intertwined.
Ready for air time on the radio. Certainly a hit at my house.
This is fantastic, brilliant cover, the mix and production are great, cool playing and your vocals are perfect. Deffo one for the ipod
Very cool!

Outstanding MGM as usual i might say ,, hope the weather is better in your neck of the woods !!
Brill !!
Dunny
Thanks Dunny. Yes we are back to sunny skies now. Getting a bit colder but no frost yet. Still riding the motorcycles until the end of Oct.
Glenn, where do you live? It's still warm here in Connecticut but I don't expect that to last much longer.
We are in Comox on Vancouver Island BC, Canada
Ouch! That's polar bear country, almost.
You have two seasons. July and winter.
Lol, no we probably have milder weather than yours.
We are surrounded by warm water and are just a few miles north of Seattle.
Actually we have better weather than Seattle for some reason.
It rarely snows (lots of rain tho) and the summers are perfect (80 deg)
No tornadoes or hurricanes.
