Title: What a Wonderful World (NOT!)
Post by: jackofall on December 22, 2008, 01:04:03 AM
ComedyFest (banner image missing)

A bit of satire and very black humour. I'll crawl away and hide in a corner if anyone is offended! A bit of cold reality injected into a nice, dreamy song. some of the bad vocals are intentional!

This would fit in perfect on a Roger Waters CD.  The vocal even sounds a bit Waterish.  Great job.
Makes me think of a quote I read recently from Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne:
QuoteThe more you know about the world, the more you really should just want to kill yourself! It's really not or will ever be this one-dimensional, beautiful happy place. It's full of hell and suffering and pain....And we are all gonna get older and we are all gonna die and everything beautiful is decaying.
But somewhere along the way you can look at that and be like 'Yeah I know. But I can love that and be happy in knowing that.' 'This is the life we have and let's be happy.'
That is the power of music, it can make you go on, even feel happy, in the midst of all the misery around oneself.

Bloody wonderful.

It's so funny and so not funny at the same time. Political satire with a small 'p'. Great stuff.

I love it when people bring up the older stuff - I tried that already and it's addictive as hell. And then all of a sudden four hours went by :D

This was a fun one to listen to.
