Title: ghost in my house and stagefright oldrottenhead live in a scottish sitting room
Post by: Oldrottenhead on March 06, 2011, 05:25:21 PM
inspired by gritter, i now have two songs i can perform live, the 1st being stagefright and now this one ghost in my house , now all i need is an acoustic guitar.

plan is to get to an open mic at some point, i just felt turning up with a juno di wouldnt go down well. so i'll see if i can borrow an acoustic and get over my stagefright but dont hold yer breath

video and audio recorded straight to my casio exilim camera, no microbr used on this one.

Way-hey! ORH live!

This proves without doubt that you can do it (I could have told you that though, lol), so what are you waiting for? Get a cheap electro-acoustic and unleash it on an audience!

And it's great to see you with a guitar.

Looks like somebody has been honing up on his guitar a little bit! Great stuff, Jim - You really have to get up on stage!!

You write an awesome tune, bro - I love them and I love you!

The bar just keeps getting raised here all the time...

I just had to get an ORH in there!  I was due.
The tune is great.  I think you'd do it better justice by expanding it beyond just the guitar, although the vids are a refreshing change of pace occasionally.

Lovely stuff - the missus likes it too.

Get yerself a tin guitar (a resonator - I remember Mike Harding refering to his as his "Barnsley Fighting-Guitar") and get on out there. If the audience plays up you can always clock em with it... (mind you, they do dent easily, so mebbe not).

love it lol. i don't know why getting up and singing my songs is so frightening, i host quite a rowdy pub quiz every week and dispatch hecklers with great applomb which is the part of being the host i like best, but getting up and singing and fumbling round a guitar,   eeek!

Great job Jim, you can definitely do the live thing - get up there and do it. Just treat the crowd like you would at a quiz night - be in control and confident in what you are doing and you will be fine.

Cheers,

Nigel
