Thought this might be interesting...

What songs would you like to cover?

If you're like me, there are things you'd like to do, but can't because of your musical / vocal ability. But as we've seen on the collaborations thread, there is some awesome talent on this forum that can cover pretty much anything required.

So... having this 'wish list' might get some new collaborations going  :)

Here's my own top list...

'By the time I get to Phoenix' - Glenn Campbell
'It makes no difference' - The Band
'Hot Burrito #1' - The Flying Burrito Brothers
'I'll never Fall in love Again' - Bacharach / Bobbie Gentry

God, I love this song. My girlfriend introduced me to it, and it still gets me every time.

Good call!  :)

here is a midi file for tinseltown, maybe someone can use it as a guide track, would be interesting if someone could give it a new arrangement ie acoustic guitar type arrangement.

I used to do this one for my own entertainment, but have never had the courage to play it live or record it. I could never get over the fact that Jeff Buckley's voice takes it to a level that nobody could ever hope to reach / emulate.

Which goes for all Jeff Buckley and Nick Drake tracks (in my opinion). The ultra-talented buggers!

Heh heh... ORH beat me to it.

Yes... what WAS Paul Young thinking with that cover?!

There have been some bad, bad covers over the years. Two that spring to mind are:

Mariah Carey absolutely murdering the Badfinger / Nilsson classic 'Without You'. Pure multi-octave, warbling evil !

And I also have a bit of an aversion to Guns and Roses 'Live and Let Die' cover.
