Seize The Throne (prog-rock, bit of an epic)

Thank you, Andrew.  :)  Billy did a masterful job on the mix, that's for sure. And I agree, David nailed the vocals.  ;)

Nigel, here's what Andy says about his bass set-up: "I alternate between a Fender Precision and a Yamaha active, usually use the latter for heavier/prog-like songs, as was the case with Seize The Throne.
I use an Art Tube MP as a pre-amp and then I record directly into a Roland Boss 1600CD digital multitrack recorder. I do have a cubase LE DAW and pedals, but rarely use them as I usually send my bass seps dry and let the guy mixing/mastering add "cool" effects to the bass track."

Thanks for the info Donna. I'm amazed this sounds so together with so many different contributors. Great stuff.

Cheers,

Huge song. I really don't know what to follow that up with. This is a monster.

Yes, very Prog-Rock-ish, and I love it!
I particularly enjoy how each of your new posts seems to be totally different
from the previous one....

Nigel, Tony, and LG, glad you like this.  :)
Yes, the guys play together often - from their various parts of the world - so can get the music/instruments pretty tight. And Billy's quite a decent mixer.
