Make your guitars sound good

I imagine just about everyone that owns a guitar has a tuner for it.
The western standard for tuning instruments is an A at 440 cycles. This works well, however, there are other options for tuning that "sweeten" the sound. Basically, the intervals (half-steps) are stretched a bit, some slightly sharp, others slightly flat. These intervals can be programmed into a strobe tuner, then you may recalibrate your bridges to match.

I set my Peterson strobe for an A at 436 cycles, then re-tuned all my electric guitars to it.
The sound is so much nicer now. Highly recommended.
There are many alternate tunings available. Experiment with them. Its worth the effort.

I may try this and see what result it brings.

Thanks for the tip

Hello Wartime, nice to "see" a new face here.

The tuning I mentioned does work very well. If you go to my song list and listen to Promised Land you'll hear what this tuning actually sounds like. Both the guitar and bass are set up with this tuning at 436 cycles. This is the first custom tuning setup I've tried and I am sticking with it.

Let me know how you make out with it.
