I really wanted to do this song cause i got to sing orgasms.
But disappointed that i didn't get to multiple times. ;D

No seriously, when i saw that this song wasn't taken i played around with it and came up with the chords and harmonies quick so i had to do it. Then it just branched out.

This sounds okay but Nigel will do better but he'll have to tweek alot of vox trax.

All done on my Ovation acoustic.

Fuzz'z lyrics for this whole opera are truly incredible. The versions I heard so far are incredible too.

                                        Left Acoustic  - Strummed
                                       Right Acoustic  - Finger picked
                                               Solo        - Bunch of notes
                                               Hope you enjoy!

Desmoiselles d'Avignon

"The captain goes down with the ship"
rings in my ears / on the shore as I sit
fragments of my life drift away
I flashback, and farewell I bid

Have I died and gone to heaven
or has life abandoned me for pretending?
What do I live for? What is in store?
I'd man my post but it exists no more

A dress propped-up by a thousand orgasms
the wind caresses my one million phantasms
A kaleidoscope of life advances
Emotions are like passing trances

Soothing voices, singing, dancing
Never felt so like a king
Since those months back in the womb
where I owned everything

Bide my time I'm going nowhere
Am I carefree or do I just not care?
Have I fallen in some kind of trap
enjoying the natural wonders I lacked

I spoil it by overthinking
Why again was my boat sinking?
Life is about compromise
I guess I'm not ready to be that wise.

This really sounds incredible Gnasty.  Guitar playing is as good as it gets in my books.  You sing this very well, lots of weird words to get around and you do it great.  I like the little vocal touches at the end of the verses.  Very well thought out piece that paints the picture well.  What wild wild lyrics here.  I don't think I could have made this one work at all.  You pretty much nailed it.  Great job.  I am in awe of your acoustic playing.

This is gorgeous, man.
I love it.

The picking for me at certain moments reinforces the sort of disoriented head-spun feeling I had in mind for this song.

The style injects something new to this album, sort of an alternative acoustic-metal vibe.  It sounds unmistakably new-world (i.e. American/North American).

This is a beautiful musical composition and delivery and I love what it does sonically for the album overall.

The vocals are fantastic. The guitar work is f*cking incredible, as a matter of fact, I have a renewed sense of shortcomings in my own work now, thanks.

What a brilliant take on a fantastic set of lyrics. This is superb really.

Wow Gnasty, you have been possessed by stof/LB/Gringo here and gone into another dimension. This is totally amazing, the guitar playing throughout is wonderful, especially in the middle. Incredibly clever and effective construction, and really emotional. I love the vox - they're cracked in places but in a really good way, they sound very raw and real.

I'd be happy to do a production job on this if you want to send me all the wav files. just lmk.

Cheers,

Nigel
