on hearing this i was immediately moved to write a lyric for it, it reminded me of the kind of thing peter hammill does. so i downloaded it straight to my sd card and onto my mbr. things happened quite quickly.and i came up with a quite simple lyric hope you dont mind sai.

the path to sorrow (don't go there)

close your eyes to yesterday
tomorrow's still to come
today is all that really counts
the here and now
nothing else really matters
it's all just distraction
that will only lead
to the path of sorrow

don't go there
don't go there
stay here
in the now
don't leave me
don't leave me
stay here
in the now

break

don't go there
don't go there
stay here
in the now
don't leave me
please don't leave me
stay here
in the now

close your eyes to yesterday
tomorrow's still to come
today is all that really counts
the here and the now
nothing else really matters
it's all just distraction
that will only lead
to the path of sorrow

don't go there.....

A true slice of sublime!!!

Love the way the vox sits on this!!!

Reminds me of Something I heard when I was young (as in a kid...1980's)...

Cant remember the name..

But I loved it...

Love this...

Sooo Good!

Fantastic lyrics Jim. Sweet addition to a great instrumental.

Some key skills on show here, really moody vibe, but so beautiful too, a great addition to your musical skills, well played.

Beautiful piece, beautifully played Saijinn - you sound classically trained to my (rather untrained) ear.

This works well both with lyrics and without them. I like many "Lied"-songs (originally German classical songs with piano and solo voice...or something like that :) ) This reminds a bit that genre.

Can't believe you (Sai) haven't played piano before...anyway it sounds real good. And Jim's lyrics and vox are very ímpressive!
