I was thinking of something like that too. This topic was a lot of fun and it would be great to do the same for other countries. I'm not sure about the USA and Great Britain though. There's just so much great music from those countries and we already hear it every day of the year. It seems pointless to have a whole topic just for the music of the USA or Great Britain. But I'd love to have topics celebrating the music of Australia, Finland, France, Norway, etc. I have no idea when the national holidays for those countries occur, so I think it would be best if a member from each country started a new topic about a day or two before their national holiday so that we can all start searching for music from that country.

Thanks for starting this cool topic, Bluesberry!

On second thought, there are probably lots of artists who aren't well known outside the USA and Great Britain. Maybe videos of those artists could be posted to introduce their music to our members from the rest of the world.

Oky, I need intervention I can't stop! I've swelled page 6 of this thread but I can't stop...I think it's national pride but I am quite sure this will do it for me. Time to write some new Canadian tunes of my own...but these, in my mind need to be included:

Well our "football" team didn't qualify but the official theme song for The World Cup was written by a Canadian:

In the 90's Leslie Fiest was a member of this group:

And I can't include Corey Hart without Bryan Adams...I know he writes formula love songs now and lives in England but he was sort of a bit cool and even edgy when he arrived on the 80's scene...and I like to sing his songs in the shower...to my wife.

I lived in the states for a couple of years in the early 80's, and remember this Canadian band being huge at the time.

I'm not sure Terrence and Philip count (seeing that they're cartoon Canadian parodies created up by Americans!), lol
