Hi Guys!!!
What do you guys think about this?
I kinda like it. The Tuning feature would come in Handy.
But I know the Look of this Gibson would Turn alot
of people Off.

I personally don't like it - both for the way it looks and the concept behind it. The review in Guitarist magazine was pretty damning too. As I understand it, there's only a very limited number being made, so hardly anybody is going to get hold of one anyway.

What p*sses me off about Gibson is that they keep saying how this new one 'fixes all the problems and niggles' of the previous robot guitars. So they're effectively saying that they conned everyone with the original robot models and the Darkfire model. Maybe I'm just being cynical, but I think Gibson have their head up their arse at the moment. I'm bored of seeing high-end Slash artist models being released.

I Just found out it cost 4 Grand Ouch!! ??? ???
Not worth it.  I agree about the Slash Gibson Model
they are making too much fuss over it.
I'll Stick with My Gibson Standard.

I'm not particularly keen either.

1.  It's a bit ugly
2.  I can tune my own guitar (close enough for rock and roll anyway)
3.  I prefer Fenders.
4.  It realy is a bit ugly.  I don't like playing Les Paul's but "normal" ones like Gnasty's are beautiful to look at whether or not you like playing them.  This one - it's not a looker in my opinion.

There's a reason why standard Les Pauls are so popular: they look and sound amazing. Why tinker with perfection?!

I can't take it, I have typed this 5 times, but failed to click "post" because I don't want to sound like a dumb ass noob. At like the 6:18 mark on the video, he twists the the toggle switch to blend pickups. Is that a standard Gibson function, or is it only on this guitar?

The Toggle switch to blend Pickups isn't a Normal Gibson Les Paul Feature.
Which makes this guitar pretty cool. It also has Piezo pickups so you can Blend Acoustic with it at the same time. I thought it was Cool but not worth over 4 grand.

The Gibson web site says...

"The Dusk Tiger features a unique, multi-function toggle switch which provides standard switching between the magnetic pickups, plus a revolutionary blend control that is built into its lever, and allows the player to quickly determine the ratio of magnetic to piezo tone in the guitar's output."

A search of the Gibson web site shows that this feature is also available on the Les Paul Standard 2010 Limited.

I saw it on the Les Paul Standard 2010. Can you imagine, me sitting here thinking to myself, I wonder if my SG has that capability, and in the months that I've owned it.... I didn't know..... Do  I wait to go home and find out for myself, or make an ass out of myself and ask because I'm so impatient...

The piezo pickup and mix facility are potentially pretty good I suppose.   I still find it hard to get past the cosmetics.

I suppose that shows how shallow I am.

Or alternatively how important looks are in marketing.
