The thing I REALLY hate (amongst many assorted things) is the way singers and boy bands ALL suddenly feel the need to sing ballads with their hand on their heart, as if the song's so fucking emotional that their stupid little wannabe hearts are hurting with the fake emotion of it all.

Grrrrrrr.... feck.... gnash gnash....

I'm with you there, Tim. Little douchebags.

Right now, the crickets and frogs are a problem. I suppose the city people don't have this problem, though.

An amusing and cool natural sound effect at first,  but now it's a pain in the ass.

I even have a frog crawling up my window now. Then he does the "Whirrrrrrrrr" thing that forces me to do my vocal/guitar take over again sometimes. If you don't believe me I have photos:

Ha, that's those 80's style louver shades where you turn the plastic stick to open and close them. I could use the padded wall, though...

I know someone like that too. His most 'diva' moment was when we were playing at a small festival in Surrey. He didn't actually know that I was playing there on the acoustic stage, otherwise he wouldn't have told me beforehand that his band were on the main, headlining stage where the likes of Jethro Tull appear. Surprise surprise, he wasn't on that stage at all! When it was his turn to perform on the secondary stage, he spent 15 minutes having a hissy fit at the sound engineers and demanding all sorts of tweaks to the sound set-up (he was one of 8 or so bands appearing on that stage that day). The eyeliner and total disregard for the rest of his band was also out of order. Man, I could write a whole book about this twat.

His other favourite hobby is to book himself on the last slot of an open mic night, and then claim that he's the headlining act! Unbelievable.

His album has been 'in production' for 3 or 4 years. He's always talking about how it's being mixed in some exotic New York studio and will be 'realeased' this summer, this spring, this winter... it just goes on and on.
