Good question, Sai. I'm in the same place. I do have one song in mind that I'd like to try, but for me, it's all about choosing something totally inappropriate and putting it through the mangle of electrified chaos, lol. Something like 'Summer the first time' by Bobby Goldsboro (kind of acoustic...). I like the original, but it has heavy 'warp' potential. Or 'Moonshadow' by Cat Stevens.

Whatever you choose will sound dark, heavy and great...!

Greeny - I like that, "heavy 'warp' potential" :D

As far as I'm aware, "Honey" is the only Bobby Goldsboro song I know - are they all a bit "icky" then? (maybe he wrote "No Charge" as well!!)

Is just a piece of paper
To say a few lines
Make up my mind
So she can read it later

Get your ears round this! It's a classic. And it has possibly the greatest little piano hook ever recorded! I love it musically, but the lyrics are quite juvenile (not too mention unintentionally hilarious...)  :)

Anything by Cat Stevens would be a good choice in my books.

Here is a good one to electrify up, classic song that it is.

Here's another version of "Foggy Mountain Breakdown". It starts at about 3:00 but do yourself a favour and watch the whole thing. This is the most incredible solo bass performance I've ever seen.
