Wow! I actually liked this quite a bit. Very cool. Great feel and vibe to this. The progression reminds me of something that I can't quite put my finger on, but you worked it great. Love the lyrics too.

*Just thought of what it is... Kinda reminds me of a Weezer kinda vibe. Doesn't sound like anything by them directly, but the style is very reminiscent of them I guess.

Great job either way. On my third listen ;)

Oh well ........

I'm getting that Weezer feeling too.

The very first chord also had me thinking of a great song by Ass Ponys called Place Out There.

You're pushing some of my good buttons with this one.

The vox work very well on this, the combination of lead and backing vox is a good combination that plays well off the simplicity ofthe instruments. Simple but effective, the vox are great when they go high.

Cheers,

Nigel

@ferryman. thanks! this is my hobby so i dont realy have the time to make something complex.

@ted. i tried searching for the song you mention to listen with no luck. anyway, some of my big influence were the pumpkins.

It's really just the first chord, the guitar tone, and the tempo.  The similarity doesn't go much deeper than that.

However, I do like to evangelize for Ass Ponys, so here's where you can hear it:

If you are intrigued, start with the album Lohio, and go backwards.

Great stuff, right up my alley. One thing so many of the supportive people on this site have encouraged me to do is push up my vocals in the final mix. It's hard to do, but believe me, it's the right thing to do. So, er.... try it!!   ;D ;D
