You're right, it is! According to Wikipedia, he also directed the video, and his son and daughter are in it too.

A couple of years ago, I was told that I resembled Rick Schroder.  The sexy NYPD Blue grown-up version, I was told, not the plucky child star. Nonetheless, I don't think anyone would have any trouble telling us apart.

The Jam is a band I always go back and listen to intently about once every couple of years. Although they never really broke in North America, I grew up with them and the young Paul Weller's lyrics touch me deeply. He did his best work, IMO, in his late teens and early twenties. He lost me with the Style Council and his solo work is good but lyrically lacks the substance of The Jam's material.

A demo from 1980 that appeared on The Jam's Extras CD. Just Paul Weller playing on this...I think the video is shot with the guitarist from one of his solo bands.

"Remember when life was lovely
Forever was captured in your smile."

...that line breaks my heart every time.

That's a great song, Blooby. And here's a brilliant cover of it by our own RonnieJM:

'This Never Happened Before' - by Paul McCartney

From the movie 'The Lake House', a Hollywood remake of a Korean film called 'Il Mare'.   It's a love story but with a clever cosmic twist.  The song actually starts at the very end of the movie, right as the credits start to roll.  I thought it was sort of an emotionally mind-blowing story (tho not neccesarily deep or profound)  so I guess I now associate the song with all that.
So yeah, this one gets me...
