She said something really stupid; made me glad to be with you. I'll only see her movies now if they get good reviews. I ain't waiting on Jodie Foster anymore. God came in between me and Colleen. That was her contention, though I didn't see a thing. I cringe now when I think back about all the years I clung. I should have cut my losses when she aimed to be a nun. In retrospect I really think that was my cue to run. Yeah, God came in between me and Colleen. I ain't got a crush on Erin anymore. I went shopping with her husband in a big department store. She'd taken up collecting Snowbabies figurines. I looked at my buddy thinking, "Better him than me." Then I looked in my heart at where that old flame used to be. I ain't got a crush on Erin anymore. I've gotta level with you about Jane. 'Cause she ripped me to pieces like no one can again. The last time that I saw her it was like a battlefield With an historic marker, but the battle seemed unreal. Sittin' in a Starbuck's wondering what was the big deal. Thanks, TW.  I originally was going to do this as a country song, but I had that guitar hook in my sketchbook for a long time and wanted to use it here only because it fit.
