Oldest member??!

If you position the mouse pointer over any member's name to the left of their message and look at the status line of your web browser, you'll see something like this:

The "u=143" at the end is the User ID. It's a sequentially-assigned number. So this number can give you an idea of how long that person has been a member. Admin is user 1, oldrottenhead is 4, I'm 12, Trotters is 143, Ted is 271, and Geir is 1228. The most recent member (ginko, who joined today) is 2606.

You can find the exact date that a member registered by viewing their profile or the member list. But if you just want to know which of two members joined first, the mouse-over method is quicker.
