This one has a bit of a dark feel to it.  It is the chords I think, there is a darkness to that rhythm guitar.  This is a grower, I am sure that the more I listen to this song, the more I will want to listen, setting up an un-ending loop of listening...Really good song Tim.  I am starting to feel this is one of your best, the more I listen (3rd listen right now,  going in for another...).  Seriously good songwriting/singing/playing/recording.

Hey Tim - Long time no hear! When you do arrive, it sure is with a bang. Really cool tune - It took to me right away so I guess I'm the strange one! Love the bass line on the chorus.

Starts off Dark But really lightens up!!!!!  Simply Sublime!

I really liked this from the off. I like that slightly darker feel with the little lead parts in the background but it's clever the way it lifts in the chorus. There's a great melodic bass line going on there as well. Backing vox work very well. Not a lot more to say apart from there's so much to like about this and great to see you back here! You can still churn 'em out.
