I openly admit that my Dad is a better guitarist than me... but I beat him at every other instrument under the sun, so who cares?  :D

Glad you enjoyed Chris Thile. He's incredible. My other two Mandolin heroes are Sam Bush and Dave Grisman. They are pros. I have a friend at SC named Kevin Miller. Kevin is not a pro, but together with his guitar and little mandolin and a voice that drips with sincerity, he wrote one of the best songs i have ever heard..one that actually brought tears to my eyes. You and your Dad oughta learn this one. Take a listen...
