Re-posting songs?

So would it be alright to re-post our songs that already has plays & comments in a new topic, as an mp3, that were originally linked to another host site. Since we can't edit the original post to insert the player. Is that the only way to get them in our song list?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm still navigating through the new format. So when we post a new song or re-post from the original post to put up an mp3, does it take a while for it to show on our playlist? Or is there a way to put a song directly on the playlist?
