Hi everyone,

Do you guys & gals do Christmas songs (original or covers) on here?

Would anyone be interested in doing this sort of thing and posting your tracks on the site sometime before Christmas?

Just thought it would be a fun project.

Actually, that's something that I've been thinking about for several weeks. I think I'll start putting a Christmas jukebox page together today.

The only thing is, we need a catchy title for this project. I don't like the word "Fest". Can anyone suggest a better word for these little theme projects that we occasionally have here?

Anyway, I hope everyone will consider recording some Christmas songs and posting them. Traditional Christmas songs, wacky covers, or originals are all welcome.

I expect that 'holiday hummers' are right out... okay get your collective minds out of the gutter.

This past 50/90 (50 songs in 90 days) there was an unofficial challenge to write original Christmas (and holiday) songs. I didn't listen to a single one intentionally. I may even try to write one for this here challenge.. that tells you in what esteem I'm holding ya'll in.

Let's see...
Winter Wanderings
Tinsel Tunes
Festive Affair
Jubilee Jams
Jolly Jams
Mistletoe Musings
Mistletoe Music
Evergreen Ear Candy

Actually Tinsel Tunes doesn't sound half bad.

Good suggestions, but I was actually only looking for a replacement for the word "Fest". Something that conveys the idea of posting songs that are part of a theme. So "Christmas something". Just not sure what the something should be.

Here's a first draft of the Christmas Jukebox page:

https://songcrafters.org/Festivals/YuleFest.html

I still have some more work to do to improve the appearance but I wanted to let everyone have a listen to the Christmas songs that have been posted so far so you can get some ideas of what songs you'd like to record. If I've missed any Christmas songs from previous posts, let me know so I can include them.

I love SteveG's "Bah Humbug Song". If you haven't heard it yet, be sure to check it out.
