Foona

Greetings forum members!

I recieved my brand new BOSS BR-600 two days ago and since im having some
minor problems I come here. :)

I am Foona from Studio 5. I was born in Sweden 1979 and my interest for music
started at a very early age. I am a member of the artist collective P.T.C-Crew and
also a producer/engineer of Roots and Dub using homebuilt DIY electronic equipment.

Recieved my first computer (Atari STE) at the age of 10 and then it went on from
there. For over 20 years I have been involved with music and the ways of creating it.
Genres I have been involved with over the years are many, from Hip Hop to
Psychedelic trance to Rock and even folk music. Music have no boundaries at all.

I have been raised in a family where Rasta culture and Roots music dominated
the "sound" palette and I have always wanted to be able to produce roots myself.
I never felt I was worthy enough to do it myself until two years ago.

I released my debut Roots and Dub album "Foona's In'I Sound" in March 1 2009.
In doing this I decided to make my first release free and the album is available as
a free download on the Reggae blog site Rebelmusic.se.

OR, you can get your own free copy right here:

Foona's In'I Sound direct download

The album contains 15 tracks of Roots and Dub music and The album has
been packed with Winrar.

I also have my own blog (English language). I am using this blog To write
about my upcoming musical "stuffs" as events, gigs collabs etc. Also I
write about DIY equipment that I have built. A few pictures:

"DubMasta"
[DIY Midibox64 midi controller]

"I dobble"
[DIY Dual Rebote 2.5 delay unit]

"Dubvision" Dubsiren
[DIY MFOS Soundlab Analouge Synthesizer]

"Springa"
[Hammond A100 spring tank]

I want to take this opportunity to tell you that I am a member of the
VombatRadio.com community. VombatRadio is a web based radio channel

LIVE from their home. Their slogan is "Free live online Concerts", and I
love this concept. I myself have performed live on their channel 2 times
and you can find the saved broadcast sessions in their "podcast section".
Don't hesitate to contact them if you feel you have something you would
like to perform live from the comfort of your home. I just sounded like a
commercial, yuck!

I hope you'll enjoy my free album! If you have any thoughts, questions,

Greetings from Nome Alaska Foona!!!

Good to have you on-board!!!!  Reggae and ska have been passing through my ears since I was around 12 and living in Venezuela --- very popular at that time!

I think it is cool how you have added and mixed several influences to arrive @ your own sounds - you're very worthy!!!  Love your "Bring Em Down (Im your's riddim)".

Will be downloading your music once i can get my computer from breakingup while listening to your songs!

Wow! nice kit. I've seen some homemade and bent circuits, but this is pure class. It must cost as much in time and parts to put these things in nice cases as it does to build the electronics.

Nice nice nice.

And I love the dub.
