thank you all for the great feedback. Makes me want to keep on playing. My one omission is, I guess, that I used garage band to mix it. Hope that doesn't spoil anything

Yeahhhhhh, this is excellent, I love it.  Reminds me of some stuff (Alt.country stuff), but it is fresh sounding.  I like the way your voice sounds here, nice little twang to it, perfect for a song like this.
