Pedro

Hi there guys,

Following the suggestions from Ted, I'm asking all of you that have a web presence, such as a website, blog, myspace, facebook, etc... if you could make a link or add a banner directing to BossBR.net to let people know about our community.

Simple Link:

<a href="https://songcrafters.org/">Boss Digital Multitrack BR Recorders Forum | BR-600, BR-900, BR-1200, BR-1600 and Micro BR</a>
You can add this to Myspace by pasting the code in the biography, "sounds like", or any other box, in the editing profile page. I think you can also add this on Soundclick.

For those of you who don't have a website:

You can also help by using the new share this topic links on social networks, like Digg, Facebook, StumbleUpon, etc...
You can find these links on the upper right side of any topic.

By doing this, you are contributing to make the forum larger and even greater than what it already is.

Thanks a lot!  ;D

I also made three banners, which I will add on the following posts.

This one is a regular half-banner. Here is the code:

<a href="https://songcrafters.org"><img src="https://songcrafters.org/banners/bossbr1.gif" alt="Boss Digital Multitrack BR Recorders Forum | BR-600, BR-900, BR-1200, BR-1600 and Micro BR" border="0" /></a>
Thanks!

Greeny

This definitely works in the 'about me' section on Soundclick. I have a banner up and running on there.

I stuck one on the Myspace.....

This brings up something that I've been wondering about for a while...

It has to do with 'cover songs'.  We call them 'cover songs' but most of the rest of the world calls it illegal use of copyrighted property.  There is a reason that virtually all music hosting sites such as SoundClick do not allow posting songs that you did not author. They don't want to get their asses sued off!

Don't get me wrong, I don't like those laws and never have felt bound by those laws.  ;)

I think that the main reason that this site has been able to get away so far with the distribution of so much copyrighted material is that we have been flying under the radar.  BR users are after all a pretty small fragment of the world population.  So, I wonder about the possible consequences of inviting 'everyone' to the party.  Could bring the heat...

I would like to read about those laws, I'm not certain if it is illegal to record a cover song claiming that it is NOT your own. All in all, if they were to take us down, we would be last in line. I assume bittorrent sites, Youtube, etc... would be the first.

Thanks for linking back, guys!
