This song is  Lean On Me by Bill Withers!  It is a song about friends.
Last week I had a friend collapse and they couldn't revive her.  Rare blood disease she didn't even know she had.  Then another friend found out he has cancer and doesn't sound to good and has to start chemo. It was also the anniversary of my Mom's death!  So the week was a bad one.  But I am NOT telling you this to get sympathy. A friend e-mailed me this song and said to unload!  So after my hubby, and I, and my friend, (with cancer) drank ourselves silly on Thursday. I decided to unload on another friend. It took me a few days before I could sing it without crying!  So I decided I would do this song to all my friends. They know who they are!  They are the most important thing in my life.  So everybody grab their beer, Mahita, Ale, cocktail, what ever is handy and lets have a toast to our friends. In Memory of my friend Linda Tucker!  (She liked Hosea Quervo)  Here's to yah girl!

So sorry to here of the death of your friend and I hope your other friend is on the road to recovery. Two of my aunts where taken by cancer this year. so I know life can be so hard sometimes and it,s only friends and family that will pull you threw, so your cover is so truthfull in it,s sentiment.
