this song is in tribute to Thomas Hansen aka St. Thomas. the song was completed yesterday on the second anniversary of his passing.

i composed the original song and posted on the collaboration folders looking for help to develop the song here https://songcrafters.org/community/micro-br-b65/thomas-sings-by-oldrottenhead-a-work-in-progress/0/

since then a lots been done to it, but my original post wasn't in tune it was a little sharp so i passed the baton to geir ( thomas Hansen is norwegian so it was nice to get one of his fellow countrymen onboard). geir completely redid all the guitar and ukelele parts. in fact the song was done in what can only be described as a higglety pigglety way.

so with no drum track geir rescored it i then added the lead vox, then geir added ukelele and backing vox in norwegian.

it then went to mike who added bass and drums like i said arse from elbow.  i think its appropriate to quote mike here "You guys, the speed is all over the place. Faster, slower, james doing the flexible timing style singing. I was chasing you all over the place.....

Here it is now. Let me know.

Cheers

Mike"

well mike i think its fab.

i had to shrink it to fit here but i am going to post the 192kbps at soundclick in the next few days.

Wow.

Wait, that wasn't nearly big enough.

WOW.

Unbelievable.  Stunning.  Perfect.  Everything from Geir's beautiful guitars and uke to Jim's sublime vox to the sweet bassline and drums by Flash.  Tell me how in the shit you added drums AFTER the fact, Flash???  That is almost impossible to do!  Drums are always the first thing I record, then everything comes after that.  To do it the other way around is godlike.

I wish the bass was louder, but this is amazing.

Incredible work, gentlemen. :)

Playing the drums to this was like hearding cats. Jim and Geir were going in opposite directions most of the time. It took ages
