I am doing brief lurks and then heading back into the mines.  I just got through my first week with 1,053 sixth, seventh, and eighth graders and am relaxing with a beer.  I was trolling through older files and stumbled on this.  I chilled out so quickly upon listening, I thought I'd post.

Nothing rich going on harmonically.  If I remember correctly, I set up a drum machine and the repeating bass pattern and took three passes (lead, envelope filter, volume swells).  For all the proggy and fusiony things I've attempted, I think I like this sort of simple playing the most.  I also dig how the drums and bass are at a constant volume, but there's still some interesting dynamic shifts as it gets cooking.

I know the mix is odd, but it is intentional, with the lead slightly buried.

The guitar prodigy thinks he bores us...  ;D Believe me, I'm having a great night with this song. The European Vampires went to bed early and I get first post (Eat my shorts, bros!! :D) and I get to hear this like I was the only audience. I'm listening to the soft rain that the hurricane left behind. Hurricane Danny - I think you guys were safe.

Anyway, perfect Friday night wondertune!!

I love how you take one groove and warp it all over the place. Very cool song.

Nice cruising music. I could have this one playing onboard my personal starship, cruisin' the cosmos... going nowhere in particular.

Now thats an example of how to lay a groove down properly.  I can't seem to loosen up enough on the guitar to get into this kind of groove.  You are one cool guitar player for sure Blooby.

As hooper said, this is real cruising music, you can get lost in this offering. Love the tone of the guitars, really sweet tune, you have some real talent man. I can imagine this was really chilled and fun to play.
