Yup, Souix City IA.  We did live in St. Paul for a bit though.

I had a friend that lived in the area (Wisconsin) for a while - The cool thing, no.. the best thing, about the area is that there was a tavern everywhere. You drive out in the middle of a cornfield and some guy would have a tavern in his house - right in the living room. Kind of funny - You see a little "Tavern" sign, roll in the driveway and go inside. The lights are usually out, but when you come inside somebody mysteriously appears through a side door and they are open for business!

We were all on a road trip one day looking for wine and cheese , and the girls were driving, so I said "Let's have a beer at every tavern we pass on the way home". This was desolate country, mind you, with nothing around for miles but farmhouses and silos. Sure enough, we came across nine taverns before hitting the outskirts of Pewaukee. They were in living rooms, basements, garages and side buildings of silos I still can't believe it to this day.. Probably shouldn't have had a shot with some of those beers
