Any mac users?

Bro

Hey folks!

I was just wondering whether anybody in here is using mac?

And if so, does anyone know any good mac anti-virus applications?

I'm getting a mac soon, so anything (really just anything) that could seem as advice would be gladly appreciated!

Thanks!
If you loose track over a chord progression, play as fast as you possibly can. Nobody will know. Thats how they invented bebop.

I'm a Mac user.  :)

You probably don't need an anti-virus program (due to the fact that the operating system is more secure than Windoze and there are very few virii written for Mac), but if you are at all worried about it, the company I work for uses McAfee Virex on our Macs.

NB: Virex has never actually detected/killed a virus on my Mac, because I've never caught a virus on it. On my Windows systems, the anti-virus software has caught and killed many virii, lol.

I hear yah...when I built my first Windows system a few years ago, after installing the operating system, I plugged in an ethernet cable into my router, and nearly immediately , I got a pop up dialog asking me if I wanted to download some porn. I hadn't even opened a browser yet!

After thinking about it for a bit, I unplugged the ethernet cable and then installed my anti-virus software first.   ;D

I was just messin' with you, bro!  :D

I'm a Microsoft and Linux tech, so I get the best of both worlds. I've had this discussion with 64G's and others, but I got burnt pretty bad with the X windows shit and scrapped it for XP for years - only  used LInux for web, sql and mail servers. 64 actually pointed me to Ubuntu which is basically a better configured Debian - and let me tell you the X windows stuff is amazing now. I might switch back someday.

Mac is pretty good, too, from what my cousin tells me - the company he's in is all mac, iphone, mac server, etc.

The world is a changin'

Why does everyone attack Microsoft so much.....

Viruses are hard and fast with this O/S....

I just use what I Bought......

Why must I be subject to attack because this MS was all that I could get?
Monopolies are Poo...

I understand the concept of the attacks.........

But whats the point....

I dont understand enough about computers to find an O/S that has no Viral threats......

It Just hurts the pockets of people that dont know better, or cant find better....

The best(Or Worst) viruses are the ones you don't know about. I never understood why someone would spend time and effort to create a virus that could be detected...

I agree - Some motives are not driven by greed. But I've always thought to myself, "Why"...
