Good guess! But no.

These two bands were a bit more hard core in their day, and less commercial. I doubt there were any gold or platinum records.  ;)

Greeny

Still foxed. I was thinking something 'surfy' like The Ventures, but I'm still lost.

Not too far off, though! :)

Some folks like water
Some folks like wine
But I like the taste
Of straight strychnine! (hey, hey)

'Strychnine' by The Sonics. Also covered by The Cramps & Thee Headcoatees.

This has really been fun for me! I've actually learned a bit about using the MBR in these little exercises. Necessity being the mother of invention and such.

I think SteveG still has an unguessed tune, and so I'll yield the floor.

Next?  :D

I love The Fall. And The Move!!

Here's the original version. It's a bit more...energetic than my take... ;)

For Your Love by the Yardbirds

The first one was already correctly identified yesterday by oldrottenhead as Uriah Heep's "The Wizard".
See https://songcrafters.org/community/general-discussion-b8/intro%27s/msg40467/#msg40467.

Half points to Sprocket on the second one for being the first to correctly identify the artist as The Yardbirds, and to cuthbert for being the first to correctly identify the title - "For Your Love".

I contemplated following ORH's Tigger intro with the into to Bruces' Philosopher Song:

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii....

...mmanuel Kant was a real pissant
Who was very rarely stable,
Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy begger
Who could think you under the table,  (etc.)
