Sounds interesting. I liked the movie, Immortal Beloved which I think I recall painted a pretty bleak picture of Vienna in the 1820s. However, I just looked up the plot on IMDB, and I have no memory of the love story / mystery aspect of the movie -- which puts into question my recollection of the movie.

I see the internet as one big book!
(that's my excuse for not reading)

I just read The Hobbit and I'm now reading The Lord of the Rings. I know, I know. Everyone's already read those ages ago and seen the movies several times. I've done neither, so this is new to me. I think I've got the movies around here somewhere but I haven't got around to watching them yet. Maybe after I've read the book.

Reading a few books at the moment. The new Stephen King novel 11.22.63, about time travel and the Kennedy assasination. A history book about D-Day, and far From The Madding Crowd. I lovbe Thomas Hardy and have done since my school days, noone writes quite like him. each chapter is like being transported back 15o years, magical stuff.

Am literally just finishing Jude The Obscure for the 2nd time - 1st time was in paperback, and this 2nd time a decent Folio Society copy. Sh*t, you've gotta sympathize all round. Hardy for raising merry hell for himself by writing it, and for the benighted characters he created.  :'(
Before this I read Claire Tomalin's biography of Hardy, A Time-Torn Man. What a transcedent life he had, from rural backwater to people flying the Atlantic. Quite a life.

Nope, never read a word, nor viewed a film; nor none of Star Wars either. I feel quite chuffed.  :)
