I'm getting Devoto vibes here.

Very off-kilter. That guitar tone is unnerving. Excellent!

Better clarify: Devoto, as in Howard Devoto. Not DEVO.

The vocal approach especially.

A cool experiment Mike. I also hear REM's style in your vocal. The picked chords sound great and strange at the same time...off kilter but good. I like how you fit the guitar solo to match the cascading chords. It all works wonderfully!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

Guitar riffage is really cool, and the confident headliner lead vocal!  You 100% achieved your own unique and special style here. The one thing I connect it to is Peter Gabriel's vocals and Steve Hackett's guitars in early Genesis. Congrats on a great composition! Your production skills (and drum programming) are getting super honed now too!

I don't know if I would've thought of it, but Karl and Berry hit the nail on the head with the bastard child of Lydon and Verlaine while still retaining a quirky uniqueness. Has a hypnotic quality as well, even that 8th note solo (especially love the end of it where it hangs). Good choice on the backwards echo toward the end.

Super immersive. Loved it.
