I should mention he oftentimes reharmonizes tunes on the fly. Loads of improvisation in there, both musically and vocally. I even love it when he gets schmaltzy. If you ever get a chance to see him live, it's a very cool experience. He takes such chances on stage that you immediately get the sense you are witnessing a singular event.
