If I could find an open road
I'd run right out of here
Leave this town, hit the ground
Running with my guitar and gear
I can't think of anything I've done wrong
Yet I feel like I have sinned
Wanna throw caution to the wind.

If I could find a flowing river
I'd swim right out of here
Let the currents carry me out to sea
I swear I'd have no fear
There's no restraints I can see
Yet I feel I'm tied up with string
Wanna throw caution to the wind.

If I ever get an open mind
I'll think my way out of here
Jesus Christ I'll go crazy
If I spend another year here
Somehow stigmatised
Ostracised, eclipsed and pinned
I wanna throw caution to the wind.

Lovely track Ray. Super opening, the haunting multi-layered vocal made me think of Clannad.

This is more laid back for you... very reflective. Great words too and a very enjoyable listen

Nice one Ray

Ray, after your song started and ran through the A Capella section I immediately hit replay. I needed to hear the beautiful harmonization again at a louder volume. At that moment my wife walked in. I thought she was going to say "turn it down" but instead she said "that is beautiful, it sounds like a CS&N song". That is high praise coming from her and I totally agree. The piano and the acoustic soloing are icing on this skillfully performed vocal cake!

So after hearing this a few times, I'm now heading out to the studio so I can hit erase and redo the vocals on my latest song effort. Thanks Ray, lol!

Great song Ray, I love those vocals, sounds like Enya.  Great harmony fx.
Awesome music and lyrics as per usual.

I probably heard this about 15 times now... and it is worth every listen and then some.

The acapella start is very good.  draws the listener in.

the piano is so nice and relaxes.  The guitar follows suit.

a wonderful and lovely track.  feels like it wanders like a stream winding it's way through a soft meadow.
another great track Ray!
