thank you very much, excuse me Ted, I hadn't seen your message and I'd also forgotten to leave the lyrics.
now that's fixed

Unfortunately, I've never been to Mauritius or Reunion, but having done a number of humanitarian missions in Haiti, I do have some experience of Haitian Creole. And all Creole languages, although very different, have something in common, if only the phonetic adaptation of French.

...by the way, I've made a cover of a very beautiful song in Haitian Creole, which I recommend you listen to. The subject is the boat people, Haitian migrants who very often try at the peril of their lives to reach Cuba or Florida on makeshift boats, hoping for better days ahead.

this is the text as sung by MAXIME lEFORESTIER and which seems to be a "mix" of French and Creole

Moi ti n'a princesse, tu vas guetter
Ti robe à fleurs, moi donne toi
Chapeau la paille, tu peux gagner
Tu fais toucatacata dans mon la case
Ambalaba, ambalaba, ambalaba
Tu mouses mon salade, ambalaba
Ambalaba, ambalaba, ambalaba
Tu mouses mon salade, ambalaba
Moi ti n'a mon bateau Marie-Thérèse
Ti robe à fleurs, moi donne toi
Chapeau la paille, tu peux gagner
Tu fais toucatacata dans mon la case
Ambalaba, ambalaba, ambalaba.
Tu mouses mon salade, ambalaba.
Ambalaba, ambalaba, ambalaba.
Tu mouses mon salade, ambalaba.
Moi ti n'a mon ti femme dans mon la case
Moi ti n'a princesse, tu vas guetter
Ti robe à fleurs, moi donne toi
Chapeau la paille, tu peux gagner
Tu fais toucatacata dans mon la case
Ambalaba, ambalaba, ambalaba.
Tu mouses mon salade, ambalaba.
Ambalaba, ambalaba, ambalaba.
Tu mouses mon salade, ambalaba.

Thanks Doug, I like to do a world music tour...I feel like I'm traveling without leaving my musical attic

...and this Mauritian music really appealed to me with this "Sega" rhythm...it's really cultural, like bossa in Brazil, there's a lot of variation in the basic rhythm and it's the subject of numerous educational videos on You tube

.... I'm going to continue my musical world tour with a bit of Zulu music; or Haitian, or Nepalese, or.. :) ..

Sounds absolutely fabulous. I am impressed with those sound fonts. They can be pretty hit or miss in my experience, both those both fit the bill perfectly. Great arrangement and performance.
