I went a bit crazy with the twin-lead guitar bits at the end but I enjoyed figuring it all out and playing it.

Remembering old lost friends
Sad farewells; sad adieus
Cherry-picking memories and places.
Hating all the modern taboos.
Thinking of regrets and redemption.
Of apologies and acts of atonement.
Living a life in a vacuum;
Living a life in the moment.

The sweet scent of patchouli.
The music of Tears For Fears
Bundaberg Rum and Cola
Seems to wind back all the years
All the King's horses and all the King's men
Couldn't piece together the memories broken
So I'm living in denial
Living life in the moment.

That's how it sounds.
That sweet, sour lullaby
When you realise the woman you are in love with
Is in love with another guy.

Her heart was the motherlode of love;
Just waiting to be mined
Tai-dyed T-shirts and bell-bottom jeans.
A flower-power child left behind.
I remember well that sunset
She wasn't crying but she was broken
Now there's nowhere else I wanna live
So I'm living in the moment.

Every new song from you is like a breath of fresh air.  You're constantly re inventing yourself.
Another great tune.

By and large, jazz has always been like the kind of a man you wouldn't want your daughter to associate with.

OK to cover but please let me know first.  Thanks!

Well produced, eveything is nice and clear and well balanced.

The song has plenty going on to keep it interesting. I like the vocal harmonies, guitar solo pretty impressive too.

Your wordsmithing tells an excellent story of reminiscence, nostalgia, and the reality of "Living In The Moment". Well done there, Ray! The music and words fit together like well fitted gloves. There are some cool changes in the chord progression. You are right about the guitar harmonies...precise, skillfully executed, and I can hear the fun you had doing them!

Driving beat dude! You are one of the best lyricists I know. Always interesting observations and stories. A rare talent Ray. Great outro guitar with the keyboard too. A bit of an early Genesis vibe to that.

I love the way this drives from that bass... the keyboards I find especially satisfying...

at this moment I am watching my sons dog that is as bad as any 2 year old... and man alive she won't stop barking...

so this song is a great distraction... really love this one...

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away
