Another quicky before i have to go back to the daily grind.

It is what it is.
I see you down the road
I watch you coming to me
I gotta smile on my face
You're smiling back at me
We're where we want to be
Here and now
Where are we gonna be
Let's find out
I take your hand in mine
You hold my hand so tight
We walk in perfect step
We know where we are going
We're where we want to be
Here and now
Where are we gonna be
Let's find out
Let's write our story
let's tell our tale
Our great adventure
A brand new day
I fell your skin on mine
It keeps me warm at night
You keep me on the tracks
You are my guiding light
I snuggle into you
You snuggle into me
We slowly go to sleep
And dream.....

I remember John Peel saying "fades in. Provocative, eh?"

That Tele sounds sublime.  Lovely groove

Oldrottenhead might be the administrator, but it's clear that he's not having any free passes.

The lack of comments reflects that. In my own defence i must say that i'm having trouble commenting old Rotsys songs because they offer an artistic vision and depth that's well beyond my grasp.

I just don't feel like banging the lyrical ukulele for songs that build a mood, draw the listener into them and even tell a story. Sometimes they even offer solace, and / or understanding. In a noninstrusive manner. Leaving the listener all the better for it.

Turns out i could say something about this. That a boy!

I had a weird reaction to this song.

It reminds me of poignant story from the memoir of Cary Raditz. Before he met Joni Mitchell, he was with a woman named Holly Black. They were free spirits hitchhiking around Europe. And there is a moment in the story where they leave their next destination to fate. They were south of Munich, at a fork in the road. The next car to stop might be going towards Spain or towards Greece. Cary announced "Let Destiny be my copilot!"

That was the moment Cary fucked up his relationship with Holly. Years later she told him, "I presumed I was your copilot—your partner." She realized the story being written was all about him, not about them.

I imagine most people read that book wanting juicy details about Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, and other music celebrities name-dropped in the book. I think the story of Holly is more intriguing than all that celebrity hobnobbing shit.

This song sounds like the type of adventurous partnership that Holly wanted. Perhaps the kind of partnership you have with your wife, ORH. I hope so. And I envy you.
