This is a song from the Vincent Drake project that Kenny and I are working on as "60 Light Years".
It's called Silver Rose.
Let us know what you think.

My head is full of cloud's
I'm waiting for the clouds to break
A single lightning strike
To force my mind to work again

I'm heading for a storm
Battling against the waves
I'm straight against the wind
And moving to the start again

Chorus.
A silver rose
I Don't know what it signifies ?
A silver rose
That's shining like a dying star.

I'm digging deep
I know the answer's buried there
I'm in a different zone
Zombified, I stand and Stare

I investigate
I gaze along the sidewalk crack
The scene is clear
A calculated dark attack.

Chorus.

A silver rose
I Don't know what it signifies ?
A silver rose
That's shining like a dying star

I curse my Brain
I try and kick into play
My eyes Reflect
The images won't go away
I start to talk
Hoping it will answer back
I even pray
I put my body on the rack
The gossips move
the truth departs

Haven't you heard?...what?
He started at the age of 10
Haven't you heard?...what?
They say that he will strike again.

I don't know anything about Vincent Drake.  However I know I like this.

it has a techno and 80's rock feel to it.  It is like the Moby soundtrack for the Bourne series but more with the great singing of those great 80's bands like Simple Minds, Bono, etc.  That wavy keyboard is boring holes into me like a woodpecker on the tree.... so cool...

swirlingwhirlingmadness hidden in here too...

very big, very great, very amazing... the drums sound great

been looping this for a while... repeat...repeat...repeat...oh my... this is so big.

Fantastic 80's sound yet contemporary vibe. Excellent production/mixing with lots of space between those synths. Very classy track.

Captivating song in many ways, especially the Bowiesque vocal delivery.  Nice.

By and large, jazz has always been like the kind of a man you wouldn't want your daughter to associate with.

OK to cover but please let me know first.  Thanks!

This is so good, love the early 80's vibe and the sounds of those synths. Hints of Ultravox and Simple Minds. A very classy track !

I think it sounds "brilliant". Like Ray said, has an 80's sound but a modern vibe too. Love those synths.
Great lyrics and vocals.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

first class song and expert mixing. those rhythmic synths sound fantastic

Defo 80,s vibe with a Scottish synth sound which is cool.
Remincent of a friend of mine who was the vocalist in a band called  Sidewaylook

I get that slight Bowie sound too. Quite a dark mysterious piece. Keys are great, you don't hear that sound enough anymore - I get a bit of early Marillion from them. Lovely vocal Kenny and very well produced too.
