By and large, jazz has always been like the kind of a man you wouldn't want your daughter to associate with.

Very sad news indeed, I had heard he was sick and in the hospital for a long time and recently he had taken a turn for the worst. It's a shame he never worked with Paul post-Wings, Denny and Linda's beautiful harmonies were essential to that group. A great singer for sure and he helped write some excellent songs as well.

Oh no.

Another hero gone.

He did indeed contribute to making wings the great band it was

"Children children" is one of my favourite wings songs

Rest in peace

Denny Laine, a co-founder of the Moody Blues and Wings, has died at age 79, his wife, Elizabeth Hines, announced on Laine's Facebook page.
Laine, born in 1944, had struggled recently with interstitial lung disease. Hines set up a GoFundMe page early this fall to help with his medical costs. "For the past two months, he's been in and out of the hospital concerning an illness in his lungs that developed after his short bout with COVID last year," Hines wrote on the GoFundMe page in September.

yes... I loved the musician's work... in both bands.  RIP sir

yes, it's very sad, another possible collateral victim of Covid...

The Moody Blues were very well known and popular in France, thanks in part to Léo Ferré's song "...les moody blues qui chantent la nuit de satin blanc..." ...and then he co-wrote Mule of Kintyre with Paul McCartney and Linda

so sad
