Last one from me and Tim, aint no doubt about it! (you'll hear a cool violet painted classical guitar by Eko that I bought lately here
https://yourmusiconline.it/it/eko-cs10-violet?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA3uGqBhDdARIsAFeJ5r0h4l5o9iYUv0Ny_OEjlEuVzmPVKfM4jqMdOuMwAhC5PfEfw7qsumkaAoZhEALw_wcB)

This coat's too thin for Winter
This skin's too thin for life
It's like a game show of survival
Whatever gets you through the night

Ain't no doubt about it
There ain't no doubt at all
This world needs a little love right now
And affection in the empty darkness like us all

Take a walk in any city
The night's a closed-up Luna Park
The pigeons coo a little pity
But the rain keeps falling hard

Ain't no doubt about it
Ain't no doubt at all
This world needs a little love right now
And affection in the empty darkness like us all

When summer comes
she's gonna spin some gold
like the lining of my waistcoat that I never show

There's gonna be a better time
You just have to get in line
It's gonna be OK

Ain't no doubt about it
Ain't no doubt at all

Fine ballad with all the good vibes. Very interesting chord progression changes. The "holes" (for effect?) are distracting to my ear. Maybe just add reverb to the ending notes to tie the parts together but still leaving the pause? Just being picky as this is a steller piece of work all around! 8)

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Oh my oh my ..... this is just fanbloodytastic !!!!!!!!!

Excellent performance of a song that should be heard far beyond this corner of the web

Like John an Ken I would prefer a bit more sustain on the piano, but that's  just nitpicking.

A fab song that's already downloaded and heading for piPod

Beautiful tune, guys. Reminds me of a mid-Seventies ballad, with fab vocals from Tim. We don't get many piano-based songs here, so this is a welcome addition. And that Eko guitar sounds pretty great, especially for the money.

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

Beautiful ballad song. It does sound like it's from the a bygone era when they made these great songs.
Great songwriting and vocals. Liked the key change.
The piano,  guitar and strings sound great.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

Darren, that s kind of yours! I think we all on SC are kinda still living in that bygone era lol. About the 'holes' in the piano chords: you re all right, i am quite regretting that choice (they re canyons!), but ok it s done...

This is so beautiful.
The vibe is so relaxed and those lyrics are stunning  what a picture they painted.
