Reg has a lot on his mind......
Sometimes I don't know what to say
Sometimes times words just get in the way
I try to speak with nothing to say
Words keep the silence at bay
the silence eats my mind away
my mind away
my mind away
my mind away

It opens the fears inside
It opens up a hole inside
Where truth can find an out
Truth can Find an out
Where Truth can Find an out and eat away

As It eats away
Yes It eats away

Sometimes I don't know what to say
Words they just get in the way
I don't know how to play it right
To get me through the night
I stay awake I can not sleep
All the thoughts that come from the deep
All those thoughts I think about just go around
Oh help me

They eat away
Oooh How it eats away

How it eats away
Its eating me away
How the silence is eating me away

Sometimes I don't know what to say
Sometimes times words just get in the way
I try to speak with nothing to say
Words keep the silence at bay
the silence eats my mind away
my mind away
my mind away
my mind away

starts out very Zep which is as cool as it gets...

you have alot of very cool vibes in  your music and I realize you are an amazing vocalist but I think your playing has come on leaps and bounds these last 3 years I have been on...

you have alot of awesome rhythms...

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

I'm enjoying this listen Trevor. You have a Dylan like delivery in your Plant-esque toned voice and that is excellent. Great strumming on the guitar. Yep I agree with your lyric sentiment, let it out!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

Dylanesque for sure.  I like the strumming with the "muted" string effect.  Very nice.

That's a good song. I'd really like to hear a version that introduced drums, bass and electric guitar with a guitar solo, maybe about 2:45.

That lead line at the start was just a tease ;)

Great lyrics Trev. I think most of us can relate to those dark places Reg goes. Damn they are really deep actually. Yeah another great tune Trev. Let it out!

Silence is golden. I should know. I have none of that.

There's the ZEP influence to be heard for sure, but for some unexplainable reason this reminded me of Vince Neil! I'm not trying to imply that you're a fat pig that has trouble singing, let alone breath. Quite the contrary. Based on the breath thing... I'd say you'd have Dolly Parton pardoned.

What i'm slowly getting at is that there's YOUTHFULNESS to your voice that's highly impactful. I was taken back to the early 80s era when Vince was still looking like a hot chick and singing like one.

What has happened? Did you find the Cocoon? Or the lesser part II?

I like this very much. In fact i can't stop listening to it.

It's also worthing that the common writing tip of only writing about things that you know is bogus.

I mean Reg has never trouble with words. Even the topic "silence" turns into a novel when he gets to it...!
