The mystery of dreaming ....Thanks for listening
My eyes were closed
Belief
was bursting at its seam
There was no hello
All I heard inside was terrible scream
From me
From me
From me I had no control

Too soon the darkness took a hold
It held my heart tight
my eyes were closed
I could not see
The music did invite
The colours behind my eyes

Holding  the patterns in disguise
The colours behind my eyes
The music did invite
The lies

to the dream
to the dream
to the dream
to the dream

The darkness took snippets of truth
and wove them into my dream
It turned light into darkness
Laughter into a scream
Then Into my dream
Into my  dream

Yesterday became tomorrow
Tomorrow was here
I closed my eyes
fell to my knees
And prayed to the lord
To make his  meaning clear

But dream finds its own way
To tell you the truth of the day
It come from deep inside
And has its own way
of turning the truth around
turning the truth around
turning the truth around
turning the truth around
Turn it around
Turn it around
Turn it around Turn it around

The snippets of truth
They Turn inside my mind
It takes that little bit of truth and melds it into a lie
Then holds the nightmare infant of you as a reply

The question that have been unasked
Come into your mind
Then the question become words
That dance around your mind
Telling you the truth with a mouthful of lies
Of love and hate and Deceit
In a rainbow of disguise

Tomorrow will be your friend
To wake is your dream
To hold onto to truth instead of the lies
Instead of lies
Instead of lies
Instead of lies
Instead of lies

If Life is a dream then use your imagination

Great passionate performance, Trev. Cool lyrics and of course, excellent vocals.

deep and poignant imo...
sure it may seem as another TheTwoReg song that is easy to get lost in the strumming and frequencies of the strings, which is enough on it's own... but the song begs me to listen to the words..

its as if you are singing about my mind sometimes... great song...

you can call me anything you like.  Just don't call me late for dinner

Great song Trev, but I couldn't figure out if the lyrics were about having a bad dream or a metaphor for the world appearing to be a bad dream. If its the former, try a cup of hot chocolate before going to bed  ;)
