My health has been up and down for about 4 weeks now. Nothing serious, but afftecting me doing music. Anyhow, this track I recorded the basic rythm a while back. Listened to it more recently and thought "meh, needs pumping up!" So added the bass and some extra chords and thought that that was more like it. The lyrics came pretty quickly.

I Bring Thunder:

Don't want no trouble
Just want a drink
I may look like a saddle-tramp
But I'm not what you think
Now if you cross me
Just remember this
If you're looking to meet the Reaper
You might just get your wish
You think your fast boy
A marvel to be seen
But you will never see a faster gun than me
They call me Lightning
Though that ain't my name

I bring you thunder
I bring you pain

Here's Johnny Two-Step
He wants to shoot me down
He thinks I stole his girl
He wants me out of town
He pulls his six guns
And points them at my chin
Underneath the table
my guns are aimed at him
You think your fast boy
A marvel to be seen
But you will never see a faster gun than me
They call me Lightning
Though that ain't my name

I bring you thunder
I bring you pain

(Bridge)

Willy the Weasel
Living in his shack
He plans to end my days
And stab me in the back
I pay him a visit
I shoot him in the leg
If you wanna keep breathing boy
I wanna hear you beg
You think your fast son
With your little knife
You won't hear the thunderbolt
When I take your life
They call me Lightning
Though that ain't my name

I bring thunder
I bring pain

I've heard and commented at another site so I'll do my best not to repeat myself. This is a cool Bluesy/Cowboy/ Gunslinger themed song. Really good vocals and guitar work. I like the mention of the character Willy the Weasel. An excellent song and mix, Ron!

Something about bluesy songs with a cowboy theme that always sound great to me. Nicely written and produced, Ron and love those guitar riffs. Cool soloing on the guitar too.

This is an in your face I'm gonna plaster you against the wall kinda song (and not necessarily in a physical violence sort of way, but in that the power of the music plasters one against the wall and into submission)...
a smoking killer rock and roll tune... not at all like Robert Palmer but has that kind of effect... super Ron

I get a bit of an Ian Dury feel to this although a different genre of music. That's a really cool main riff  8) I like whatever you do with the production... your tunes sound raw, punchy and even have a live feel to them quite a bit. The solo section takes it up another gear too. Damn fine.
