Whilst up north last week with Flash Harry, we had a wee jam but never wrote or recorded anything. however i had a wee riff going and used it today whilst recording this.

anyway it is what it is.

So here's to new beginnings
And echoes from the past
Collect your memories
They're fading fast
Put them in a box
Keep them somewhere safe
Try not to forget
Where you left them

And everything that's happening
Needs a change of gear
What once was new
Is so last year
Need to find a way
To keep the show on the road
Some solution
To keep on going

Nothing lasts forever
All good things must end
If we can keep evolving
Exist in other ways
Nothing lasts for ever
That's the way things go
Nothing lasts for ever

The world is ever changing
In simple subtle ways
You might not even notice
You might not even see
Then suddenly
A crack appears
And you don't know
What to do

You're going out of fashion
Mutton dressed as lamb
The oldest swinger in the town
This charming man
Still seventeen inside your head
You think you're Peter Pan
Don't look in the mirror
Don't look in the mirror

Nothing lasts forever
All good things must end
If we can keep evolving
Exist in other ways
Nothing lasts for ever
That's the way things go
Nothing lasts for ever
Nothing Lasts Forever

Cool stuff, Flash is such a cool bass player would have him on any my stuff.
This is so good, would  love to hear a collab and a real drummer.

Stellar lyrics here James, as well as a beautiful backing. Great singing here too, I love hearing you sing harder like you do in the last little bit. Well done!

Like this. The tasteful use of the FX on those guitars and cool thoughtful lyrics. Nice spacious mix too.

BTW thanks for the comment on my last effort. What does FMGWABP stand for?

The backer sounds really good via phones, great stereo tone with widely panned guitars. Fine work with vox and lyrics as always!
