I remember in grade school getting into trouble a lot because I was a PITA girl chaser.  If a girl even smiled at me friendly she came on my radar.  I regret those days and have publicly apologized to those girls in recent time (thanks to Facebook).  They all forgave me.  But it still was interesting fodder for lyrics to a new song, which I present here.  I hope you enjoy.

Is it too much to ask for honesty?
Your smile alone won't fix my insecurity
And while I fidget finding just the words
that will melt your heart and tell you how I feel about......
all this doubt
I must find out

Am I misreading signals you put out?
Have I mistaken that charming smile you give without
my taking into account all the doubt within in your eyes?
Am I putting more into this situation this time?
Is it just you being kind?

                       (Chorus)
Hey, Ms. Subtlety.  Can you give some time to me?
Or will you always be a mystery?
Can you find it in your heart?  Give me just one simple answer
Do you dream of me the way I dream of you?

I hate to think I'm assuming far too much
Your lovely smile is so inviting but do I misjudge
the sweetness that I see in your eyes for something more
than a simple look, a friendly gaze you'd give anyone else?
Am I a fool to think only of myself.

                      (Repeat Chorus)

Diva of my morning.  Fantasy at night light
Through the day the only way I get through is thoughts of you
I might be delusional thinking you return this desire
Lying to myself that you're enamored of me too

Hey, Ms. Subtlety.  Can you give some love to me?
Or will you always be a fantasy ?
Can you find it in your heart?  Give me just one simple answer
Do you dream of me the way I dream of you?

Do you think of me the way I think of you?

Such a great song and i like the story too. You're a bag of surprises.

I hope at least some of the girls were more kind towards your advances.

One of the best songs i've heard in a long time.

Wonderful weaving track.  The piano is exceptional.  The rhythm section supports and adds almost unnoticed power and drive...very good.
The stars are the keys, winds, and voice.
Good lyrical subject

Such a great song. I love your songs and style.  they remind me of Christopher cross.
Great storytelling ( from previous experience in this case). The music is always so well played, arranged and produced.
