Sitting Here - Andy Dursley

A very low-Fi little tune. I recorded it the other night on my trusty old battered 3/4 size guitar that I bought from a charity shop for the Grand Children to bash about (  keeps them away from the good guitars ). It wasn't until I listened to the hastily written lyrics that I realised that the song is actually about ME. Ha Ha .........'

Sitting here languid in my crumpled hovel
Looking for a plot for my first futile novel
It's all about a man with tattered dreams
So many fail-safe, get-rich schemes
fooled some yes, but certainly not all


Who knows his life never really gelled
Day by day closer to his own version of hell
Floundering at damn nearly every step
looking for answers but no luck yet
Well the best he can do is aim to fail

any song with hovel in the lyrics gets my vote, There is something enchanting about hearing a song in this low fi style, it has a sweet yet spooky feel to it with the echo and performance . really nice

A lovely little song. The gentle guitar style sounds just great. I like the lo fi Style. Some really touching lyrics and vocal delivery.
