No, not the Lionel Ritchie song.

4/4, 7/8, modulation up a half step for the solo. Geez, I'm all over the place...what an @$$hole (Airplane movie reference). I like how John goes a bit atonal during the chromatic climbs before the choruses. Getting weirder.

We both brought ideas to an unexpected outcome.

I walked home again last night
You didn't show
You were my ride
It wasn't just rain soaking my eyes
You started with because
I ended with why

We had a good thing
You went wrong
Now I'm walking
All night long
All night long
Now you're gone
All night long

We loved art shows and local bands
Finding treasures in beach sand
Tossed our change in an old paint can
Weekend adventures without a plan

We had a good thing
You went wrong
Now I'm walking
All night long
All night long
Now you're gone
All night long

You claimed that we had entangled fates
That no cause could ever separate
Tying us tighter every day
Until the night you went away

We had a good thing
You went wrong
Now I'm walking
All night long
All night long
Now you're gone
All night long

killer song and delivery!  Heavy and hard hitting... presents the pain, suffering, the anger, the disappointment.  Walking all night long... yeah... probably a good thing to ease the pain.

that lead really ties this together

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Cool song chaps, slightly different from some of your other stuff - but very effective. I love the meaty riff and those guitar tones are great. John you channeled a really direct, maybe slightly punky or grungy vocal. A belter of a track guys.

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

This is another cracker. Those chugging guitars are great sounding. All the music is so well recorded. Great writing and I really like the different timing changes. Your vocals are perfect for these songs, so catchy, love it.

Oh yeah, cool rockin' track, guys. Love that off-kilter feel of the 7/8 sections. Excellent production/arrangement with stellar instrumentation, all capped with a great vocal.

What a song ,the vocals excellent.
The guitar tone is killer.
The riff bites like a Rottweiler on a tree branch.
This would be a great movie track.
Brilliant.
