messing about with my brother-in-law's fender Tele and this happened.

It is what it is.
We never learn from history
From what's gone on before
The same mistakes the same heartbreak
The rich feed off the poor
No rules for them
Tho rules for us
The blind shepherd the blind
And lions lead by donkeys
Time and time again
What we're fighting for
And no one has the answers
Cos no one's got a clue
Don't even know the question
What to do what to do
You can't put out a fire
With hot air and hollow words
Looking for solutions
Hey that's for the birds
What we're fighting for
Well I guess we'll just do nothing
The same thing as before
Believe in fairy stories
Believe in something more
In a mist of misinformation
They lead us into war
But no one ever really knows
Just what we're fighting for
What we're Fighting For

Yes! A real moody-mover! I dig the drums on this. Very nice tight tune for sure. 8)

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

I can see this over some opening credits to some movie. I just can't decide between post-apocalyptic or a western.

You really know how to create a mood.

I do have an elektic bass and guitar, i do have an acoustic guitar. I even have a keyboard and a Roland drum set What I seem to miss is skills. So to cure my at least 40y frustration I dicovered my instrument being my voice. So I finaly had the nerve to take singing lessons and make my voice heared thanks to Songcrafters.

Can't deny the sentiments, circles within circles.
Excellent performance and recording with a compelling listenable that draws you in.

Excellent lyrics Jim lions led by Donkeys, love that line.

Sounded great

Lurker

This is a brilliant turn of phrase:

"You can't put out a fire
With hot air and hollow words"

You've got a protest song mounted above a droning synth that lulls the listener. It leads to the complacency that the lyric is railing against:

"Well I guess we'll just do nothing
The same thing as before
Believe in fairy stories
Believe in something more
In a mist of misinformation
They lead us into war"

Masterful!

A really lonely, forlorn message, but an important one, and it's probably how most people are feeling these days. The world is a mess... there are no real truthful, honest messages that ring true coming from any of those that lead, or would lead us. But a great song.
